Paper Submissions

In the context of the theme of the conference "Design for Energy and the Environment" we are seeking papers that cover the following topical areas.

  • Design for Sustainability and Energy Efficiency
  • Emerging Technologies and Processes for the Environment
  • Design of Biofuels, Biological Processes and Biorefineries
  • Energy Systems Design and Alternative Energy Sources
  • Multi-scale and Complex Systems
  • Robust and Uncertain Systems
  • Future Process Design Education
  • Product and Process Design
  • Bio- and Pharmaceutical Process Design
  • Design and Analysis in Nanotechnology

In order to select the conference papers, the organizers are asking for a brief abstract of no more than 300 words. Review of the submitted abstracts will be used in the selection of invited and poster presentations. Authors of accepted abstracts will be asked to submit a paper that will be subject to peer review. These accepted papers will be included in the:

  1. Book of Proceedings to be published by Taylor and Francis in June, 2009
  2. CD-ROM to be provided at the FOCAPD Conference

Paper Submission Information (Contributed, Orals & Invited) - Deadline: December 9, 2008

Accepted authors will be sent an email with detailed instructions on preparing and submitting their paper. After the peer review, authors will be asked to update their papers and submit a final paper no later than February 5, 2009.

For authors who have been notified that their paper has been accepted for the Taylor & Francis publication, you MUST complete the following two copyright forms: Permission Verification Form and Contributor Agreement.

Please note that EACH contributor must complete and sign a Contributor Agreement. The lead or contact author must complete the additional Permission Verification From.
